Rather expected game when bottom-rankedCapitalinas (0-8) were defeated on the road by fifth ranked Santa Ana (4-4) 79-70 on Thursday. Santa Ana forced 32 Capitalinas turnovers and outrebounded them 54-37 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Cuban point guard Dairis Tornell (176-1992) who scored 27 points and 4 assists. Dominican forward Ruth Aracena (180-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Santa Ana's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
